As part of its strategy to enhance academic quality and promote scholarly publication, Van Lang University continues to strengthen its research management system toward greater professionalism, transparency, and alignment with international standards.

We are seeking a Research Management Specialist with strong organizational capacity, systems thinking, and academic coordination skills to support the University’s research development strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor research projects and research groups; serve as the focal point for coordination with Faculties, Institutes, Lecturers, and Researchers in publication and research activities.
  • Track and update research workload data; manage the quality and records of domestic and international publications in accordance with institutional standards.
  • Participate in organizing scientific conferences and academic events domestically and internationally; support journal development and international collaboration activities.
  • Develop financial plans for research activities; assist in identifying, proposing, and implementing research projects.
  • Manage and update research-related website content; prepare reports and provide documentation for accreditation and quality assurance purposes.
  • Establish connections with industry partners to promote technology transfer and applied research initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Office and the University Board.

Candidate Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; preference given to candidates holding a Master’s degree in Science Management, Educational Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields aligned with research administration.

Experience

  • Minimum of 03 years of experience in research management, academic project administration, or equivalent roles.
  • Experience working in higher education institutions is preferred.

Competencies & Skills

  • Good command of English (academic reading comprehension and professional communication).
  • Proficiency in office software and data management tools.
  • Strong planning, reporting, and task management skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders.

Personal Attributes

  • High level of responsibility, proactiveness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and participate in events outside regular working hours when required.
