At Van Lang University, the Faculty of Creative Technology stands at the intersection of art, technology, and media – nurturing innovative thinkers who will shape the future of storytelling in the digital era.

We are seeking Lecturers in Creative Technology who are passionate educators, creative innovators, and dedicated mentors eager to join us in inspiring and equipping the next generation of creative professionals capable of expressing Vietnamese narratives through a global technological lens.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching & Academic Development:

• Deliver undergraduate-level courses in one of the following fields: Film and Television Arts, Sound and Lighting Design, Media Technology, or Broadcast Technology.
   
• Develop, revise, and update course syllabi, teaching plans, and learning materials aligned with program outcomes.
   
• Supervise student projects, theses, and creative capstones; provide academic mentoring and guidance.
   
• Support students’ creative and professional development through academic advising and workshops.

Research & Innovation:

• Conduct and publish research projects, academic papers, and conference presentations in relevant fields.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to expand research networks and interdisciplinary initiatives.

Community Engagement & Professional Collaboration:

• Contribute to accreditation, student recruitment, communication, and academic events.
• Build partnerships with industry, media, and creative organizations to enhance learning and career opportunities for students.
• Participate in academic outreach, exhibitions, and community-based projects.

Professional Development:

• Engage in professional training programs, teaching innovation workshops, and academic exchange.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, media trends, and creative methodologies.

Other Duties:

• Perform departmental tasks and KPIs as assigned by the Faculty or University leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

Hold a PhD (or exceptional Master’s degree) in one of the following fields:

• Theory and History of Film and Television
• Theory and History of Theatre
• Theory and History of Fine Arts
• Communication, Media Design, Journalism, or Mass Communication

Possess a professional teaching certificate (or commit to obtain it after recruitment).

Have relevant teaching, research, or professional experience in communication, creative media, or journalism.

Preference for candidates with research publications, creative projects, or industry collaboration experience.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong teaching, communication, and presentation skills.
• Creative thinking and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• International publications in related disciplines.
