To welcome Class 31 students in 2025, Van Lang University plans to award over 8,000 scholarships with a total value exceeding VND 70 billion to new students. This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to social responsibility and aims to support and accompany students throughout their academic journey.

VLU TALENTS SCHOLARSHIP

The VLU Talents Scholarship is an annual program awarded to 300 exceptional students enrolling in either the Standard or Honors Training Programs. These students must demonstrate outstanding abilities and achievements in areas such as academic performance, foreign languages, extracurricular involvement, community service, and possess an impressive portfolio.

Scholarship Values:
- Tier 1: 100,000,000 VND (30 awards)
- Tier 2: 50,000,000 VND (90 awards)
- Tier 3: 25,000,000 VND (180 awards)

Applications for the first round of the VLU Talents Scholarship are accepted until the end of June 2025, with results announced in early July 2025. The second round will take place in August 2025. The scholarship becomes effective upon official enrollment and will be applied directly toward tuition fees until the awarded amount is exhausted. VLU Talents recipients may combine this scholarship with other institutional scholarships or tuition reduction policies, as applicable.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, nearly **300 students were awarded the Talents Scholarship**, joining a community of **over 5,500 distinguished students** (including 3,340 students with high academic achievement, 2,063 students from specialized and key high schools nationwide, 392 students with English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0-8.5).

TECH FOR FUTURE SCHOLARSHIP – ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY MAJORS

In alignment with the national strategy to develop high-quality human resources in technology and to inspire innovation among the youth, Van Lang University offers a specialized scholarship program for students enrolling in Engineering and Technology (VLTECH) programs in 2025.

VLTECH includes 22 majors across Information Technology, Construction, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Electrical & Electronics, and Mechatronics. (View the full list of 60 undergraduate programs)

All students enrolling in VLTECH programs in 2025 will receive the Tech for Future scholarship, based on admission scores.

Note: Equivalent scores from other admissions methods (e.g., 2025 National High School Exam or V-SAT) will be converted accordingly for scholarship eligibility.

VLU FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP

The VLU Freshman Scholarship is a motivational gift for first-year students of Class 31 (excluding VLTECH), recognizing those with excellent academic achievements and supporting their transition into university life.

COMPANION SCHOLARSHIPS

Education Sector Support Scholarship: A 20% tuition reduction for the entire course of study (no renewal conditions required) for children of teachers and staff currently working at Van Lang University’s partner high schools or at local Departments and Offices of Education.

Healthcare Sector Support Scholarship: A 20% tuition reduction for the entire course of study (no renewal conditions required) for students of Cohort 31 enrolling in Nursing or Medical Laboratory Technology programs.

Women in Engineering & Technology Scholarship: A 5% tuition reduction for the entire course of study for all female students enrolled in Engineering and Technology programs.

Note: If a student qualifies for multiple special categories or tuition reduction policies, the highest applicable benefit will be granted.

OTHER FINANCIAL SUPPORT POLICIES

Van Lang University continues to provide diverse financial aid options ranging from 10% to 50% tuition reductions, depending on student eligibility.

50%: Children of VLU staff
30%: Children of Van Lang Education Group employees, students with disabilities, orphans, and students from low-income households
20%: Ethnic minority students, near-poor households, students with three or more siblings at VLU
15%: Students with two siblings at VLU, or children of war veterans, revolution contributors, or those affected by occupational accidents
12%: Students with one sibling or parent currently studying at VLU
10%: Students whose parent/sibling is a VLU alumnus

Each year, thousands of Van Lang students receive financial assistance through these meaningful and practical programs. In 2025, marking its 30th anniversary, Van Lang University expands its scholarship fund to welcome Class 31 - future changemakers joining a vibrant community of over 145,000 learners.
