On November 4, 2025, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) officially released the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, featuring 1,526 higher education institutions, including 25 universities from Vietnam. Van Lang University has risen to being the 251st university in Asia and ranked 199th in Academic Reputation, marking a significant advancement compared to our performance in the 2025 rankings.
Overall, Van Lang University is ranked 251st, demonstrating an impressive upward trajectory across consecutive ranking cycles: from the Top 701–750 in 2024, to the Top 491–500 in 2025, and reaching 251st place in 2026. With this result, the University has surpassed 83.6% of ranked institutions in Asia, reaffirming our ever-growing and strong standing on the regional higher education map.

Notably, Van Lang University ranks 199th in Asia in the Academic Reputation indicator, climbing 63 places from the previous ranking cycle. This achievement carries particular significance, as the Academic Reputation criterion is developed by QS based on surveys of scholars worldwide, reflecting the recognition and esteem of the international academic community for the quality of teaching and research at Van Lang University. Previously, Van Lang University was also ranked among the Top 392 globally for this indicator in the QS World University Rankings.

The QS Rankings 2026 results clearly reflect the continuous efforts of Van Lang University to enhance the quality of teaching and research, strengthen academic reputation, and move toward international standards of education. The University stands out in indicators related to academic reputation and international research collaboration, demonstrating the sustainable development vision of a globally oriented university.
Over the past five years, Van Lang University has continuously improved the quality of training, expanded international partnerships, and achieved outstanding research accomplishments - contributing to strengthening the University’s reputation and elevating our standing on the global education map.

Over the past five years, Van Lang University has welcomed more than 6,000 students from over 40 countries, fostering a dynamic and multicultural academic community. At the same time, more than 1,200 VLU students have participated in exchange, internship, and transfer programs in nearly 25 countries, confidently integrating and showcasing their capabilities in the global environment.
Investing in Research and Scientific Development
Thanks to a focused investment strategy in research, Van Lang University has developed a community of reputable scientists with significant influence in the international academic arena. In 2024, 7 Van Lang University lecturers were recognized by Stanford University (USA) among the Top 2% of the world’s most influential researchers.

Many young scholars have continued to make their mark, including Dr. Nguyen Le Tri Dang, recognized as an ASEAN-ROK STI Pioneer Award 2024, and Dr. Truong Hai Bang, honored among the Top 10 recipients of the Golden Globe Award 2024.
