On the afternoon of August 14, 2025, at the GEM Center (Ho Chi Minh City), Van Lang University (VLU) honourably received two remarkable awards at the HR Asia Awards 2025:

  • Best Companies to Work for in Asia
  • Sustainable Workplace Awards 2025

The HR Asia Awards is a prestigious regional award held annually by HR Asia Magazine, part of Business Media International (BMI), to honor the best workplaces in Asia. The awards recognize organizations with outstanding human resource strategies, positive work cultures, and high internal engagement, attracting participation from Fortune Southeast Asia 500 corporations, multinational companies, and state organizations.

The award results were comprehensively assessed through an internal survey (TEAM Assessment) and benchmarked against regional standards and an international expert panel. The HR Asia Awards is currently held in over 12 countries, including Vietnam, becoming a prestigious award for organizations to affirm their brand as a top employer in the region.

In 2025, the HR Asia Awards in Vietnam received 655 nominations from various organizations and businesses; after a process of surveys, interviews, and data evaluation, the HR Asia Magazine officially honored 119 companies and organizations with the best workplaces in Asia.

Besides the main awards, the HR Asia Awards also recognized four additional categories, including HR ASIA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards; HR ASIA Most Caring Company Awards; HR ASIA Sustainable Workplace Awards; and HR ASIA Tech Empowerment Awards. Among these, Van Lang University was honored with the HR ASIA Sustainable Workplace Awards. This category recognizes organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, implement sustainable strategies, and lead internal culture towards sustainable development. The awarded businesses are those that promote innovation for the environment, spread the ESG mindset, and create a positive impact on the community and society.
