On March 30, 2024, the Faculty of Public Relations - Communications organized a workshop titled "PR in the Digital Age" to give students an overview of the PR field and the operation of PR activities in the digital age. The workshop was led by guest speaker Phan Bach Loc - Digital Communications Director at Hakuhodo Agency.
In an era of rapid development in information technology, with digital media taking the forefront, the PR industry demands flexible adaptation and timely creativity to seize and leverage opportunities from digital communication. Understanding this need, Mr. Phan Bach Loc, with 16 years of experience and participation in numerous PR and Communications events, emphasized: "Integrating digital techniques into communication campaigns will make PR work more effective, reaching the right target audience more accurately than traditional communication methods."
Additionally, Mr. Phan Bach Loc pointed out special PR "tricks" in the digital age such as "Debate or Scandal," "The 7-3 Rule," and "Positive and Vigilant Thinking" to bring success to campaigns. However, regardless of which "trick" is used, a communicator must always uphold the core values of PR, which is to provide accurate and reliable information, thereby building a strong bond with the public. "Always do the right thing and create good value" is the message that Mr. Phan Bach Loc conveyed to the students - the future PR professionals.
The workshop provides a multidimensional view of the digital age and provides necessary information for students to plan and prepare for their future careers.
