As part of the Trade Marketing course, on April 16, 2025, the Faculty of Commerce at Van Lang University organized the workshop entitled "Trade Marketing in the Retail and Luxury Services Sectors". The event aimed to provide students with opportunities to connect, exchange insights, and gain practical knowledge in the field of luxury goods and services.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tam, M.A. – Deputy Head of the Marketing Department, Faculty of Commerce at Van Lang University – shared: "With the aspiration to bridge students and businesses, VLU has been actively designing dynamic learning spaces and developing training programs tailored to specific industry groups. Accordingly, interactions with leading experts and speakers help students stay updated on emerging trends and deepen their professional knowledge. We hope this workshop serves as a platform to connect students with the business world, offering a comprehensive perspective on Trade Marketing and fostering a spirit of learning and creativity."

Mr. Nguyen Minh Khanh, MBA - Deputy CEO of Shynh Group – offered valuable insights into the role of Trade Marketing and its distinctive characteristics within the Retail and Luxury Services sectors. Through practical examples, students could grasp specialized Trade Marketing tools that help guide marketing activities. He emphasized the importance of enhancing customer experiences at the point of sale through all five senses and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders to drive demand and brand recognition. The speaker highlighted seven essential qualities for professionals in Trade Marketing within the luxury industry: refined aesthetic sense, commercial mindset, attention to detail and strong observation skills, analytical thinking, deep understanding of high-end consumers, consistency in brand positioning, and a courteous, professional service attitude.

The speaker illustrated specific case studies on point-of-sale management, product quality control, and consumer purchasing behavior to address common concerns regarding sales strategies. Students also showed keen interest in career opportunities and the growth potential within the Marketing industry. Drawing from personal experience, the speaker encouraged students to proactively enhance their skills, seek out real-world experiences, and broaden their awareness of this dynamic market.
