On November 13, 2024, students from the Faculty of Mechanical – Electrical & Computer Engineering participated in a workshop on Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). The event provided a valuable platform for students to engage with leading experts in the field, gain specialized knowledge, and exchange insights.

The workshop featured distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Tran Tri Nang from the University of Minnesota, USA, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Huu Phuoc from the Plasma and Thin Film Technology Center at Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan. The experts shared profound insights into their research journeys, practical applications of technology, and teaching experiences, emphasizing the benefits and real-world implementations of these advanced technologies.

Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS), which integrates mechanics, electronics, and microfabrication, enables the development of miniature devices and precision sensors, optimizing systems for energy efficiency and enhancing applications in healthcare and industry. Meanwhile, thermoelectric technology converts waste heat into electrical energy, promoting sustainable development and minimizing environmental pollution by effectively reusing thermal energy generated by industrial processes.
