On December 12, 2024, Van Lang University held a workshop “Building Performance Simulation towards Net Zero”, opening up opportunities to explore IES simulation technology - an advanced solution in the process of reducing greenhouse effects and improving energy efficiency.

With the guiding principle of pursuing sustainable development goals, Van Lang University is aiming to reduce 100% of carbon emissions into the environment by 2045, contributing to realizing the Prime Minister's commitment at the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26).

Dr. Le Hung Tien, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical & Computer Engineering shared: Van Lang University has been making efforts with Net Zero energy building projects with the desire to minimize negative impacts on the environment. At the same time, he emphasized that today's seminar is a valuable opportunity for students to access practical knowledge and understand future market trends.

Dr. Le Hung Tien affirmed that Van Lang University is actively organizing and participating in green campaigns in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Fazly Omar, IESVE ASEAN Business Director, introduced IES simulation technology, an advanced technology that supports architects and contractors in analyzing lighting, ventilation, and weather factors in construction areas. With the ability to simulate energy efficiency through 3D images and use modules for analysis when applied to projects, IES technology achieves an accuracy of up to 90%, replacing traditional models made of wood and plastic, contributing to saving resources and improving work efficiency.
