Workshop “Artificial intelligence integration in design education” with Saint Joseph University (Macao) experts

On December 1, 2023, VLU's Faculty of Creative Technology in collaboration with Saint Joseph University (Macao), successfully organized the workshop titled "Artificial intelligence innovating design". 

During the workshop, Prof. Carlos Sena Caires - Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Saint Joseph University, shared insights on the application of artificial intelligence in design innovation. He highlighted the integration of the Midjourney app into the interior design curriculum and emphasized that: “The integration of artificial intelligence in the field of design education can significantly enhance the ideation process and facilitate the development of design and production more effectively.”

Mr. Truong Hoang Tho, CEO of Alipo Creative, brought new perspectives on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into developing communication strategies. He presented statistics that evidence AI's rapid growth, thereby analyzing the benefits that AI can bring to students in the learning process as well as future career development.

Dr. Truong Quoc Tri, Lecturer in Data Science Department from VLU's Faculty of Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Engineering, has helped students understand the definitions of Artificial Learning, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning through case studies integrating AI into many fields such as banking, transportation, government, and so on. He also provided insights on the potential impact of AI on Vietnam’s development.

From the experts' perspectives, the workshop provided valuable lessons for Van Lang students on adapting to new technology trends. This is also a milestone marking the first cooperation between the VLU’s Faculty of Creative Technology and Saint Joseph University. Hopefully, in the future, both institutions will have more opportunities for cooperation, resulting in more meaningful activities for students.
