WETERRA: Welcoming Class 30 of the Faculty of Public Relations – Communications

On October 20, 2024, the Faculty of Public Relations – Communications at Van Lang University held a welcoming ceremony “WETERRA” for Class 30, embarking on their new journey with a valuable insight on unity.

This annual event provides an opportunity for freshmen to learn about people and the learning environment of the Faculty of Public Relations – Communications. For over 12 years, the welcoming ceremony has featured unique themes and inspiring messages for freshmen. Drawing inspiration from amusement parks, “WETERRA” kicked off various impressive performances, emphasizing the power of building connections through activities that Class 30 will participate in during their university journey.

Assoc. Prof. Vo Van Tuan, Vice President of Van Lang University and Dean of Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, shared, “The spirit of connecting with previous generations is still being nurtured and spread by all students. Every welcoming season brings its unique color and message that our Faculty sends to all of you. Keep in mind that you are now a part of the PR family. Together, you will build a reputation for Class 30 as a community of talented, compassionate, and close-knit individuals. Your actions will contribute to the future of Van Lang University’s PR community, a generation of well-rounded PR professionals.”

The highlight of the event was the “passing the torch” ceremony, where the PR torch of motivation and inspiration is passed on by seniors to freshmen. This tradition encourages students to uphold the faculty’s values and contribute to a strong PR community. 

In just over a month, the Class 30 has formed a strong bond with the PR family, becoming a generation of dynamic, passionate, and creative students. Together, they have contributed to the growth and reputation of the PR program. Inspired by their enthusiasm, the faculty, lecturers, and students are committed to continuing to organize high-quality activities to enhance the learning and teaching experience at Van Lang University.
