Welcoming VinUniversity Representative to Visit Van Lang University for Quality Assurance Discussions

On the afternoon of May 30, 2024, Van Lang University (VLU) warmly welcomed a representative from VinUniversity (VinUni) for their second visit. The purpose of the visit was to discuss experiences and best practices in developing internal quality assurance systems and conducting educational institution accreditation in accordance with FIBAA standards. The visit also included a campus tour of VLU’s facilities.

Representing Van Lang University at the working session were Ms. Tran Ngoc Hanh, Vice-Director of the Quality Assurance Department, along with other specialists from the department. Representing VinUni was Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huong, a specialist in the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Unit under the Department of Planning and Registrar.

The working session commenced with a presentation by Ms. Tran Ngoc Hanh titled "Overview Report on Internal Quality Assurance System and Improvement Results at Van Lang University." In her presentation, Ms. Hanh emphasized, "At VLU, quality assurance is the responsibility of all management, faculty, and employees. Each individual needs to understand their role in this process to contribute effectively to quality assurance activities, thereby fostering a culture of quality at VLU."
Following the presentation, representatives from both universities engaged in an in-depth discussion on internal quality assurance practices. VLU representatives shared their experiences and best practices in implementing institutional accreditation according to FIBAA standards, including specific challenges and solutions that VLU has applied to enhance educational quality.

As part of the visit, the VinUni representative toured several VLU facilities, including the library, the museum, and the ancestral hall. Ms. Truong Thi Thai Thao, a library specialist, guided the delegation through the study-research space, resources, and core values of the library. Ms. Huong continued the tour with a visit to the VLU museum, where Mr. Tran Nhat Khanh, a specialist from the Heritage Institute, shared the significance of the cultural and heritage values preserved at VLU since its founding, contributing to the dissemination of cultural values that VLU upholds. At the end of the tour, Ms. Huong noted that VLU is one of the universities with the most state-of-the-art facilities in Vietnam.

The visit and working session with the VinUniversity representative not only strengthened the cooperative relationship between the two universities but also opened up new opportunities in education, scientific research, and quality assurance. Both sides commit to continuing close cooperation, sharing experiences, and supporting each other in future educational activities to enhance educational quality and achieve sustainable development for both universities.
