The VLU Trade Union organized many meaningful activities including giving gifts, flowers, hugs with wishes to welcome the 93rd anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2023)
Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20th is an annual holiday to honor the important contributions of women in families, society, and the nation. In the era of integration and development, the role of women is not only to take care of the family, but also to confidently step up to become experts in many fields and talented leaders.
On the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20, 19930 - October 20, 2023), VLU Trade Union organized activities to honor and show gratitude to women, including:
MSc. Tran Thi Thu Thuy - President of Van Lang University's Trade Union stated: "To celebrate the Vietnamese Women's Day, the Union Executive Committee has carried out many activities: check-in photo area , the "The Power of Voice" program, and gifts for female lecturers, with the hope that every woman, despite having different lives and jobs, will always be happy to learn, to do the job they love and have a happy family.”
Annually, VLU organizes activities on Vietnamese Women's Day to honor women. In 2023, the Executive Committee set up a photo area in Building A of the main campus and held many activities within the campus, not only for women but also for male union members and the entire Van Lang community to enjoy the holiday. Hopefully, the lecturers can create beautiful memories, connect more closely with each other. MSc. Nguyen Van Tam - Vice President of the VLU Trade Union sent a message to female Union members: “We wish you all a very happy and meaningful Vietnamese Women’s Day with your family, loved ones and continued success in your careers.”
Many activities, including the photo area, were well-received by the Union members of Van Lang University. Many groups wore Ao Dai to get ready to capture memorable moments. Mr. Vo Phan Gia Bao - an employee of the Administration and Human Resources Management Department, arrived early to prepare to take beautiful photos with his colleagues. "For the holiday, I also prepare gifts and meals for my mother, sister and partner. I wish all Vietnamese women will always be beautiful and happy.”, said Mr. Gia Bao.
Huynh Gia Vy, Course 28 student of Public Relations and Communications, was excited to join friends to capture beautiful moments at the photo area for Vietnam Women's Day “Our VLU is known for many activities and events, so I’m not surprised to see such a beautiful space set up for October 20th. On Vietnamese Women's Day, I want to thank my lecturers, grandmother, mother and sisters. Thank you to the wonderful women who have brought a colorful life to me and those surrounding us!"
Additionally, VLU Trade Union also hosted the thematic program "The Power of Voice". The program highlights encouraging words from wives to husbands, lullabies and guidance from mothers to their children, and the daily communications in the workplace, all showing the important role of women and voices in life. The Executive Committee hopes that the sharing from expert Tran Trung Quang will provide useful knowledge to union members, helping women develop their strengths and find the secret to take care of family and be more confident in work and life. MSc. Tran Thi Thu Thuy further shared that the Union will surprise the female union members attending the program with a small gift. - a cute item that they can take to class, work and other important events.
On Vietnamese Women's Day, Van Lang University sends gratitude and congratulations to all female faculty members and lecturers. Wishing Van Lang women always be young and healthy, full of joy, happiness and success in life.
