As part of the APEC Youth Engagement 2025 on the theme “Connectivity – Partnership – Opportunities”, held on July 3–4, 2025, in Taipei, Taiwan, Pham Luong Gia Ngoc, a student from the Faculty of Arts and Design, had the honor of representing Van Lang University at this international event. The conference aims to foster connectivity, nurture young talent, and raise awareness of regional issues.

During the workshop, participants were divided into groups based on different economic sectors to discuss key topics. Each group was provided with data to support their analysis. Following dynamic discussions, groups presented their proposals to seek support or further dialogue with delegates from other economies. Notably, Gia Ngoc delivered an inspiring talk with international students on the topic “Layers of Identity – Finding Myself Between Cultures,” offering profound insights into the journey of shaping personal identity in a multicultural environment.

Through these meaningful activities, Gia Ngoc, along with other young participants in the region, had the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills, express their individual perspectives confidently, and expand their collaborative networks. Nurturing a generation with a global vision and fostering the spirit of contributing to regional development not only lays the foundation for sustainable connectivity but also helps build a high-quality workforce for the Asia-Pacific region.

On the journey to affirm our position in the international education arena, the Faculty of Arts and Design at Van Lang University continuously expands partnerships, providing opportunities for students to gain practical experience at domestic and international partner institutions. Through academic exchanges and professional collaborations, students are engaged in multicultural environments, broaden interdisciplinary understanding, and enhance both professional skills and social competencies in the context of global integration. This reflects Van Lang University’s educational philosophy: learning through experience, creating a comprehensive training environment for students.
