In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Van Lang University, on November 1, 2025, alumni from Class 1 to 27 reunited at the Mechanical–Electrical–Thermal & Refrigeration Engineering Alumni Day, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Engineering.
The event welcomed generations of leaders and lecturers who have been closely associated with the Faculty, together with 300 alumni, including engineers, entrepreneurs, and managers currently holding key positions across various engineering and technology enterprises.

In the warm atmosphere of the reunion, many distinguished alumni — including Mr. Nguyen Thanh Toan, Class 1 (Director, Kruger Ventilation Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd); Mr. Ngo Viet Doan, Class 1 (Director, Decker Viet Nam JSC); Mr. Nguyen Truc Thanh, Class 2 (Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director, Tan Phat Long Engineering Corporation); Mr. Lam Thai Bao, Class 2 (CEO, Hung Tri Refrigeration Industry JSC) — and other participants shared their pride and reaffirmed their continued support for the Faculty. Their presence is a vivid testament to the enduring bond and spirit of contribution within the Van Lang University alumni community.

Established in 1995 under its original name, the Faculty of Refrigeration Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Engineering has, over three decades of continuous innovation and development, become a core part of Van Lang School of Technology, training engineers with strong expertise, resilience, and high adaptability. Alumni expressed pride in returning to witness the University’s remarkable growth, from modern facilities to forward-thinking academic direction that embraces both foundational engineering fields and pioneering disciplines of the new era. For them, Van Lang University is where their professional journey began, a place where students mature through hands-on competence.

The Mechanical – Electrical – Thermal & Refrigeration alumni community continues to grow stronger. From initially scattered contact groups, on the occasion of the University’s 30th anniversary, all generations of alumni agreed to establish a joint Alumni Association, marking the beginning of a sustainable network. The Association will serve as a bridge between the University and our alumni, accompanying the Faculty in academic activities, sharing professional experience, and updating essential skills required by industry, such as information technology and artificial intelligence, to support younger students to step into their career ladders with confidence.
