On the afternoon of September 13, 2024, the Vietnam News Agency in the Southern region and Van Lang University signed a cooperation agreement. This event marks a new development in the cooperative relationship between the two units, opening up many new opportunities for coordination and development in the fields of education and communication.

On the side of Van Lang University, the event was attended by Mrs. Bui Thi Van Anh - Chairwoman of the University Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - President of Van Lang University, along with leaders and department representatives of key departments. Representing the Vietnam News Agency's Southern Region, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam News Agency, Director of the Vietnam News Agency Southern Region Office, along with other leaders and officials, were present to participate in this solemn signing ceremony.

Sharing about the signing ceremony between the two representatives, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency and Director of Vietnam News Agency in the Southern region, said: "2025 is a special year for the country, when we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and also the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Van Lang University. It is known that Van Lang University is expanding international cooperation. With the strength of being the national press agency, along with foreign newspapers such as Vietnam News, Vietnam Pictorial, Vietnam Plus, Le Courrier du Vietnam, we believe this foundation will effectively support Van Lang University on its path to develop international cooperation.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - President of Van Lang University said: “The signing ceremony today is very meaningful. Through this cooperation event, we hope to contribute to the education system in the future. Van Lang University hopes that through the media, especially through the Vietnam News Agency, the image of Vietnamese education in general and Van Lang University in particular will be spread to the community.”

During this meaningful visit, the leaders of Van Lang University congratulated the 79th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam News Agency (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2024), appreciating the eight-decade journey of the news agency, which was honorably founded by President Ho Chi Minh, in accompanying the nation.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of VNA, Director of the VNA Southern Region Office, presented a meaningful gift to Ms. Bui Thi Van Anh - Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees.
