Dr. Pham Nhu Linh, Deputy Director of the Center for Applied Arts, Information Technology and Foreign Languages, member of the Jury - evaluated the quality of the entries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Pham Nhu Linh - Deputy Director of the Center for Arts, Information Technology and Foreign Languages, a member of the Jury, shared: “We truly appreciate the creative efforts and sincere feelings that young people have put into their works. Many videos were filmed in real life, not elaborately staged, but touched the hearts of viewers thanks to their genuine emotions and closeness to life. For us, the greatest value does not lie in the award, but in the creative spirit and sincere feelings that you have sent. That is what art always aims for - touching people, spreading love and connecting hearts.”

The award ceremony honored 14 finalists and presented four main awards:

  • First Prize - “Lan gio am” (Tieu Van Nhat Tien, Vo Thi Thu Hang - Faculty of Public Relations - Communications, VLU).
The work honors the image of the Vietnamese rural mother - simple, quiet but full of love. Without the need for flowery words, mothers always express their feelings through simple and sincere actions, like a gentle breeze blowing through a summer day - quiet but warm, familiar but never losing the weight of love.

  • Second Prize - “Vang” (Nguyen Quoc Huy Khoa - Faculty of Public Relations - Communications, VLU).
A story about absence - the separation of mother and child - but not loss. “Vang” reminds us that mother's love does not necessarily have to be tangible; it always exists, quietly surrounding us. We just need to stop, close our eyes, and we will see that mother is still there - through the presence of memories, warmth and wordless love.

  • Third Prize - "Me Oi" (Dau Minh Thuan, Nguyen Manh Quan, Mai Minh Nhut, Do Thi Thuy Trang, Bao Cong Tang Ton Nu Lan Phuong, Phan Nhat Tan - Faculty of Creative Technology, VLU).
The work evokes deep memories through the call “Me oi" - a familiar call in every moment of my life: when I'm in pain, when I'm tired, when I need a shoulder, or simply want to say I love you, Mom. A simple call but contains a world of love.

  • The most favorite work - "Tinh" (Huynh Tan Phat - Faculty of Commerce, VLU).
"Tinh" is a light melody for the soul, telling about a mother's hands - fingers calloused by hardship but still gently touching her child's life with all their unconditional love. That silent sacrifice appears not loudly, but deeply and makes the viewer speechless with emotion.

With the work "Lan gio am", the group of students Tieu Van Nhat Tien and Vo Thi Thu Hang from the Faculty of Public Relations - Communications excellently won First Prize.

Tieu Nhat Tien, representative of the group that won first prize, emotionally shared: “Making a film is a challenging but valuable journey. The most important thing is to dare to start. I learned that: before starting to do anything, make a clear plan and ask yourself: ‘Can I do it?’ If the answer is no, then I will never get anywhere. But if I dare to do it, even if I am not sure of success, at least I have experienced and accumulated experience. I want to send one message to young people: “If you do not try, you will never know where you are and where to start.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung - Tien's mother proudly expressed: "Thank you to the program for creating an opportunity for children to express their love for their mothers and for mothers like me to live fully in that meaningful moment."

The gift that the Organizing Committee sent to the competing teams was a special performance of the zither performed by artists Lien Tran and Ngoc Quy. The traditional musical instrument was played on a modern background music, making the whole audience calm and sublime.

The “Mother’s Hands” contest ended with stories of love, an artistic journey connecting family emotions - where maternal love shines through images, sounds and the sincere hearts of young people. On Mother’s Day, the contest is a deep gratitude to all mothers - the “gentle hands” who have silently protected, nurtured and endlessly inspired each journey of growth.
