On September 11, 2025, Van Lang University held a Welcome Day to greet students from Vanuatu enrolling in Class 31 of the Honors Program. This marks the result of the educational cooperation program between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Vanuatu, which opened opportunities for international students to study in Vietnam.

In September 2025, Van Lang University warmly welcomed the Vanuatu students officially entering Class 31 of the Business Administration, Information Technology, and Architecture majors, developed in collaboration with the Governments of Vietnam and Vanuatu. They also received guidance on using the e-Learning platform, online learning support systems, and attended the orientation session about Vietnamese culture, lifestyle, communication skills, and practical living tips, helping them quickly adapt to the new environment.

Like the other VLU Class 31 students, the Vanuatu students eagerly completed their enrollment procedures.

In January 2025, Van Lang University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Education and Training of the Republic of Vanuatu, paving the way for cooperation in education and research. Soon after, a high-level Vanuatu delegation led by Minister Hon. Simil Johnson Youse visited Van Lang University, expressing the desire to send students to study in Vietnam.

Eight months after the signing, Van Lang University officially welcomed the first group of Vanuatu students, marking a meaningful milestone in realizing the cooperation agreement and strengthening educational ties between the two nations.
