On September 30, 2024, Van Lang University had the honor of receiving Mr. John Hughes, a distinguished author of popular textbooks from National Geographic Learning, along with his team. The event served as a platform for Mr. Hughes and the university's faculty to discuss effective English teaching techniques and the challenges students face in learning foreign languages.

As a notable author of the "Pathways" series used at the university, Mr. Hughes shared insights on educational advancements, including the introduction of a flexible learning app that allows students to study conveniently at any time. Additionally, the third edition of the textbook series was announced, aimed at enhancing students' English skills and helping them excel in international exams such as IELTS, TOEIC, and TOEFL.

Mr. Hughes emphasized the importance of developing critical thinking skills and the "step by step" learning method, which advances from basic to advanced levels, making English learning more effective for students. Van Lang Language Institute reiterated the school's vision of transforming students into global citizens. To achieve this goal, the English program is designed with seven levels, and exams are assessed based on the IELTS standard framework, ensuring quality and international competitiveness.
