From March 20th to 23rd, 2025, the Van Lang University Trade Union organized the "Return to the Roots 2025" trip for 27 exemplary Trade Union officials to visit prominent historical and cultural sites in Hanoi and the Hung Kings Temple historical site in Phu Tho. This journey provided each member of the delegation with an opportunity to nurture their love for the homeland, cultivate national pride, and foster a sense of responsibility towards Vietnam. Additionally, it served as a platform to strengthen bonds among units within the Van Lang Education Group, in anticipation of the university's 30th anniversary.
The "Return to the Roots" expedition by Van Lang University Trade Union started at Ba Dinh Square, a location that has been central to Vietnam's revolutionary historical events.

See the bamboos line up, green and vast
Each storm, each rain, they stand in rows
Symbol of Vietnam, loyalty that lasts.

During their visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the officials paid solemn tribute with flowers, honoring the revered leader. The modest stilt house, where Ho Chi Minh lived between 1958 and 1969, highlighted his simplicity and patriotism. The Ho Chi Minh Museum, displaying numerous historical items, offered a deeper understanding of his life and legacy. The group also explored the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, and other cultural landmarks.
Following their visit to the capital city, the delegation of exemplary Trade Union officials proceeded to the Hung Kings Temple (Phu Tho). The historical site is situated on Nghia Linh Mountain, Hy Cuong Commune, Viet Tri City – the foundational location for the nation's heroic establishment and defense. Here, the delegation visited the Lower Temple, Middle Temple, and Upper Temple – an architectural complex with a majestic setting, where the spiritual essence of mountains and rivers converges, sheltered under ancient trees. These three temples hold distinct cultural and historical values, symbolizing national unity and aspiration. At the Hung Kings Temple, the delegation of exemplary Trade Union officials performed an incense offering ceremony, conveying sincere wishes for preserving the cherished cultural traditions of their origins:
“Regardless of the mausoleums' age, Mount Tan, the Da River, and the landscape still return to the Ancestral Land
In this era of emerging civilization, the descendants of Hong and Lac remember their forefathers' tombs”
During the trip, the Trade Union officials visited historical places to remember Vietnam's history, like: Km0 on the Happiness Road (Ha Giang), which has both culture and beautiful nature; the Lung Cu Flagpole, the far north of Vietnam; Dong Van Ancient Town; the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark; the Mac Dynasty Citadel (Tuyen Quang); Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Tuyen Quang, which won an Asian award; and other places.
The "Return to the Roots 2025" trip ended with Van Lang University's Trade Union offering incense, showing their dedication to the university's 30th anniversary. This trip made them feel proud of their country and gave them energy to continue their ancestors' work, wanting to be strong Trade Union members with “Confidence – Connection – Success.”
