On January 19, 2024, the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture and Handong Global University co-organized Korean Culture Day with many engaging and helpful experiences for Van Lang University students.
From January 16 to January 19, 2024, the Handong Global University delegation visited, greeted Vietnamese students, and served their internship in Korean language teaching at Van Lang University.
Korean Culture Day was the closing event of a series of internship and cultural experience activities with Handong Global University. At the event, VLU students had an opportunity to try on Hanbok - a traditional Korean costume, write calligraphy, make traditional water lanterns or bracelets with Hangul character-engraved beads; and play folk games such as paper throwing, marble shooting…
Tu Cam, a student who majors in Korean Language, said: “I’m very impressed with trying on Hanbok because it is one of the characteristics of Korean culture. I hope, in the future, Van Lang University and Handong Global University will collaborate in many useful activities that provide students with more learning spaces and cultural exchanges.”
Since 2014, Van Lang University and Handong Global University have implemented cooperation activities between the Faculty of Arts and Design (VLU) and the School of Communication Arts (Handong Global University). In the following years, both parties continued to strengthen their close relationship through many cultural exchanges, research, and teaching activities. Handong Global University and Van Lang University always facilitate academic discussion, more intense interaction, and deeper understanding of Vietnamese - Korean culture and history.
