In response to “Lifelong Learning Week”, from October 06 to 10, 2025, the Library of Van Lang University (VLU), in collaboration with Thai Ha Books Joint Stock Company, organized the book fair “Books Accompany Students” at the Main Campus. The event aims to promote a reading culture, introduce valuable book titles, and encourage students to cultivate lifelong learning habits.

“Lifelong Learning Week” is organized by the National Steering Committee for Building a Learning Society in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, and the United Nations in Viet Nam. The activity honors, preserves, and promotes the long-standing Vietnamese tradition of valuing learning.
Featuring interesting activities such as discount sales, new book displays, and book giveaway programs, etc., the “Books Accompany Students” Book Fair 2025 became a highlight of VLU’s response to “Lifelong Learning Week” — contributing to spreading the spirit of learning, inspiring the love of reading, and fostering self-directed learning among students.

This year’s event introduced 1,500–2,000 book titles across various fields, including economics, life skills, literature, law, and engineering, with discounts ranging from 20% to 85%. First-year student Nguyen Thi Thuy Tram shared her excitement: “I usually read books on weekends, so I came to the Book Fair today to find new, interesting materials and take advantage of the great offers from the University. Events like this motivate me to maintain my reading and learning habits every day.”

In the university environment, where knowledge expands without limits, students have opportunities to access a vast range of learning resources, from lectures and studies to real-world experiences. Among these, books remain an invaluable and sustainable source of knowledge, nurturing critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.
The Van Lang University Library currently holds over 27,000 book titles, along with a diverse digital collection that includes more than 8,000 internal documents and 1,500 scientific publications. It serves not only as a knowledge hub but also as an inspiring space for students to practice independent research, broaden understanding, and connect with global knowledge.
