On the morning of December 16, 2024, the VLU Honors Program organized the event “Explore the Culture 3,” welcoming international students from the Admiralty Youth Network (Singapore) for a cultural exchange experience. This event served as a bridge connecting Vietnam and Singapore, allowing students from both countries to strengthen their connections through games and teamwork activities.
During their visit, the Singaporean students toured the campus, exploring iconic spaces at VLU, such as the Trinh Cong Son Hall, the Traditional Room, the library, and the canteen. Additionally, the "Secret Words" game brought lively moments, fostering bonds between the students from both countries.
A highlight of the event was the creative discussion on "Lunar New Year," where Vietnamese and Singaporean students introduced their traditional festivals through hand-drawn artwork and unique cultural stories. This activity provided fascinating insights into the history and significance of the celebrations while offering opportunities to explore the similarities and differences between the two cultures.
Moreover, there were discussions on meaningful topics such as global challenges, youth perspectives, cultural identity, globalization, etc. Students shared their thoughts and engaged in creative debates on global issues like climate change, cultural preservation in an era of integration, and the importance of respecting cultural diversity. These experiences not only raised awareness but also sparked a sense of responsibility toward addressing global challenges.
The "Explore the Culture 3" event emphasized Van Lang University's commitment to promoting international cooperation, offering comprehensive development opportunities for students, and preparing them to become global citizens.
