On April 12, 2025, Van Lang University coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Student Assistance Center and TopCV Vietnam Joint Stock Company to organize VLU's Job Fair 2025, attracting more than 300 domestic and foreign enterprises in many fields, providing job opportunities for more than 24,000 students and young workers.
With the theme “Sustainability”, the combination of “Sustain” and “Ability”, the event clearly demonstrates Van Lang's strategic orientation in training human resources with the ability to adapt and develop sustainably in the modern professional environment.
In her opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, affirmed: In the context of a volatile and rapidly changing labor market due to the development of technology, especially artificial intelligence, young people cannot be satisfied with traditional knowledge and skills but need to learn quickly, learn continuously and relearn. That requires universities to change their role: not only equipping students with knowledge but also training them in adaptability, creative thinking, and a spirit of lifelong learning. For Van Lang, accompanying businesses is not only a training strategy but also a strong commitment to preparing students to confidently and sustainably enter the profession.
During VLU’s Job Fair 2025, Van Lang University signed cooperation agreements with 10 businesses, continuing to broaden the connection between the university and enterprises through practical programs that support students in their education and future careers. The Organizing Committee also presented awards to the top 15 participants from the CV Challenge, and at the same time recognized 20 outstanding Van Lang students who successfully completed the Accelerate Vietnam Digital Talent (Google Career Certificates) jointly implemented in Vietnam by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and Google.
The talk show “Sustainable Career Path” provided multidimensional perspectives on
career trends and personal development journeys. Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, Director of TOPCV Joint Stock Company, shared about career trends in 2025, according to which there are 03 groups of positions that businesses will prioritize continuous recruitment: business development/sales, information technology - software and marketing/communications. Mr. Nguyen Tuan Quynh, CEO of Saigon Books, inspired the audience through his talk on the spirit of lifelong learning. Discussing the topic of “Corporate culture and talent retention”, Ms. Duong Tuong Vy, Director of Administration & Human Resources of PNJP, emphasized: “Any employee in any profession, in any era, can be replaced if you do not make an effort, do not grasp the trends and equip yourself with the necessary skills for today's era”.
Coming to Career Talk “Targeting Career With $1000: The gain or the pain”, speaker Nguyen Minh Tuan, Founder and CEO of Reflective Learnings Limited Liability Company, reveals the secret to achieving the desired salary as well as the method of planning to realize the goal.
Mr. Dang Nhat Huy, Talent Acquisition Specialist at BOSCH Vietnam Limited Liability Company, provided an overview of the Potential Trainee Program. The program promises to offer practical experience in a global software product development environment, while also helping students equip themselves with important skills when participating in large-scale projects.
Furthermore, the event also provided many practical support activities such as: direct interviews with companies, AI-powered CV editing, 1-on-1 career counseling, professional CV photo taking, exploring career personality through numerology and fingerprint analysis
VLU’s Job Fair 2025 took place in a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere with many practical and beneficial activities.
VLU’s Job Fair 2025 helps Van Lang students fully prepare for their careers and confidently apply to leading employers, thereby finding suitable jobs early. The event is part of the university's consistent and persistent efforts, demonstrating the effectiveness of its training and the direction of its curriculum development, ensuring a high rate of student employment after graduation and a high rate of students working in their field of study.
