Van Lang University students became the 1st runner-up in the “Exploring Innovation - Entrepreneurship with Cooperatives” competition

Surpassing many formidable opponents, a team of VLU students excellently secured second place in the "Exploring Innovation - Entrepreneurship with Cooperatives" competition.

On March 30, 2024, the Faculty of Basic Sciences at Van Lang University, in collaboration with the HCMC Sub-department of Agriculture and Rural Development, organized the "Exploring Innovation - Entrepreneurship with Cooperatives" competition. The competition attracted more than 1,000 students from 10 universities in Ho Chi Minh City.

The competition comprised Preliminary and Final Round, aiming to disseminate knowledge about policies supporting agricultural development, cooperatives, and production linkages among students. At this event, students had the chance to combine their academic knowledge with practical experience, gaining valuable insights into innovative entrepreneurship, especially in the field of cooperative economics.

Following the preliminary round held on March 10, 2024, 10 outstanding teams secured their places in the Final: Ho Chi Minh University of Banking, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, HCMC University of Technology and Education, HCMC University of Technology, University of Finance - Marketing, HCMC University of Industry and Trade, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, University of Economics and Law, and Van Lang University.

In the final round, teams sequentially tackled challenges that required solid knowledge, basic concepts, critical thinking, and quick situational responses. Particularly, the performance section focusing on the theme "Innovation - Entrepreneurship with Cooperatives" brought many memorable moments for participating teams, lecturers, and students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, concluded: "Aside from the awards, contestants gain a lot of value after the competition. These include experiences, chances to network and connect with the student community, lecturers, business leaders, Department officials, and even future career opportunities. I hope you will establish strong connections, develop ideas from the competition and deploy them into practice, contributing significant values to Vietnamese society."

With a compelling presentation, VLU's team excellently concluded their journey with the 1st Runner-up position, while also receiving the Impressive Supporter award, enhancing the lively atmosphere of the competition.
