On January 17, 2026, Van Lang University welcomed a delegation from the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) for a visit and working session at the University. This is an important activity aimed at strengthening connections, academic exchange, and promoting cooperation in the field.

Prof. Dr. Vo Nguyen Quoc Bao, Vice-President of Van Lang University, emphasized the importance of this partnership: “Partnering with NAFOSTED is a great source of motivation for the University’s lecturers and researchers. At present, some Van Lang University lecturers are participating in NAFOSTED-funded projects as principal investigators and research members. In the coming time, the University expects the number of projects supported by the Fund to increase, thereby making practical contributions to the development of science and technology.”

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Chien, Director of the NAFOSTED Executive Agency, said that in the reform period, the Fund will expand support for many science and technology tasks, especially those closely connected with universities. Key activities include enhancing research capacity, supporting master’s and doctoral students, funding lecturers and scientists to attend international conferences, and inviting foreign experts to teach, conduct research, and exchange academic knowledge in Vietnam.
Moreover, the NAFOSTED delegation held in-depth discussions, answered questions from lecturers and researchers at Van Lang University, and shared practical experience in developing, implementing, and managing scientific research projects. The two sides also agreed on a coordination focal point and specific support directions to create favorable conditions for lecturers to participate in NAFOSTED funding programs in the near future.

The visit and working session of the NAFOSTED delegation was not only a great honor for Van Lang University, but also an important source of motivation for the University to continue improving the quality of scientific research, expanding academic cooperation, and gradually affirming its position within the research and innovation ecosystem.
