On the morning of October 24, 2024, Van Lang University and Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on education, training, scientific research, technology, and creative innovation in high-tech fields. This cooperation aims to enhance the efficiency of scientific research, creative innovation and digital transformation.

Established in 2002, Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) is one of three national high-tech parks founded by the government, with a vision to become a Science and Technology City, pioneering the mission of innovation, and developing science and technology through endogenous capacities. After 22 years of establishment and development, SHTP has become a reliable destination for high-tech investment in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam, focusing on key areas such as Microelectronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Precision Mechanics, Automation, Biotechnology, New Energy, New Materials, Nanotechnology, and Semiconductor Technology.

Van Lang University is the first private university to form a strategic cooperation with SHTP. This collaboration aims to materialize the "triple helix" model, linking education, research, and technology transfer between the high-tech park, university and enterprise. This partnership is crucial for the success of the program to improve the quality of human resources, especially those involved in the research and development of new technologies based on fundamental university research and the needs of high-tech companies.

At the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, stated: "This is not a short-term cooperation but a foundation for sustainable development. As a university, we understand the importance of the triple helix model: universities (where training occurs), research centers (where solutions are found), and enterprises (where solutions are applied), creating sustainable and breakthrough development with innovative solutions."
