Joining the vibrant atmosphere of International Women’s Day and the “Van Lang Ao Dai Week,” Van Lang University Union organized a visit to the Ao Dai Museum on March 9, 2025, which aimed to honor the traditional beauty of Vietnamese women and aroused pride in the national costumes.

At the Ao Dai Museum, Van Lang University's lecturers and staff were immersed in a fascinating exhibition space that was creative, attractive, and imbued with national identity. Through admiring the museum’s extensive collection of artifacts and historical records, the lecturers and staff of Van Lang University had the opportunity to explore the interesting story of the Ao Dai throughout Vietnamese history.

The museum’s traditional architecture is nestled in greenery, which helps the Van Lang University lecturers to unwind and recharge. Adding to the experience was the weekend countryside market, where the lecturers and staff enjoyed the familiar and rustic flavors of Vietnamese countryside cuisine.

Despite a busy schedule of online classes, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tu Van, Lecturer from the Faculty of Finance and Banking, made the effort to join the trip while attending her online class. She shared: "The Van Lang University’s Union always creates meaningful playgrounds for lecturers and staff to connect while balancing professional responsibilities. This museum visit allowed us to meet lecturers from different faculties. I'm not only experiencing the tranquil, nostalgic atmosphere but also capturing beautiful memories together. I truly appreciate the Executive Committee of the Union's efforts in organizing such meaningful activities.”

As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, the Van Lang University Union also actively participated in the “Ao Dai Week” campaign initiated by the Vietnam Women’s Union. From March 1 to March 8, 2025, Van Lang’s main campus was adorned with hundreds of Ao dai. After work, many lecturers gathered to capture elegant moments in the graceful national costumes.
