Van Lang University’s student union celebrates "Five-good" students of all levels for the 2022 - 2023 academic session

To honor individuals and student groups achieving excellence in the "Five-Good" Student Movement at various levels, on May 29, 2024, Van Lang University Student Union organized a commendation ceremony for 309 "Five-Good" Students at the Faculty level, 179 "Five-Good" Students at the University level, and presented other awards to teams and groups. Especially, the Faculty of Dentistry was recognized as the Excellent "Five-Good" Student Collective for its outstanding achievements in the "Five-Good" Student Movement.

The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - President of the University; Dr. Vo Van Tuan - Vice President of the University; members of the University’s Youth Union and Student Union: Comrade Pham Thanh Phuoc - Secretary of the Youth Union; Comrade Ngo Vuong Yen Nhi - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union; Comrade Phan Vo Kieu Oanh - President of the Student Union; Representatives from Faculty Boards; Representatives from the sponsor, Easy Edu English Center, along with the "Five-Good" Student awardees.

The Student Union awards the "Five-Good" Student title based on five criteria: Good Learning, Good Ethics, Good Physical Fitness, Good Volunteering, and Good Integration. This prestigious title honors Vietnamese students. In 2024, the number of successfully approved applications increased by over 80% compared to the previous academic year. This demonstrates the widespread influence of the movement and the serious academic and personal efforts of the Van Lang student community over the past year.

Congratulating the large number of students at the Commendation Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, acknowledged their relentless efforts: “You have not only excelled in individual areas or specific skills but have truly developed comprehensively in all aspects as students.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu is confident that the students who have earned this prestigious title will become leaders for a new beginning at Van Lang University, contributing to the goal of making the university a model for sustainable development."

During the 2023-2024 academic year, "Five-Good" Students at various levels received commemorative medals and certificates of recognition. Furthermore, Van Lang University students will be awarded scholarships for English courses at Easy Edu English Center, totaling up to 1,345,000,000 VND. The top 10 "Five-Good" Students at the university level were celebrated and received exclusive awards from the University Student Union. The Faculty of Dentistry was recognized as the Excellent "Five-Good" Student Collective for its outstanding academic and competitive performance throughout the year, and Le Trieu Vy from the Faculty of Business Administration was named the most outstanding "Five-Good" Student, receiving a 100% IELTS course scholarship at Easy Edu English Center.
