As a part of its 2025 initiative to provide students with practical exposure to corporate environments, the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture at Van Lang University organized an externship visit to Hanwha Life Vietnam Insurance Company on May 14, 2025. Students from Class 28 and 29 had an opportunity to explore a professional setting and gain valuable career insights, helping them better prepare for their future careers.
Accompanying the students, Dr. Hien shared that Hanwha Life Vietnam has been a consistent and trusted partner of the Faculty. She encouraged students to take this opportunity to observe, listen, learn, and reflect, laying a solid foundation for shaping their future career direction and pursuing their dreams.
During the visit to Hanwha Life Vietnam, the first Korean life insurance company to operate in Vietnam, with over 17 years of experience and a global presence, students had the chance to tour diverse office departments, learn about their functions and gain a deeper understanding of the company’s operations. Under the guidance of company representatives, they were introduced to career pathways aligned with their field of study, providing useful input for building their personal development plans.
In addition to the office tour, students engaged in meaningful meetings with department leaders from Hanwha Life Vietnam. These sessions covered job opportunities across various fields including business, financial consulting, customer service, communications, brand building, training, and professional development. The representatives’ thoughtful and practical advice gave students a comprehensive and transparent view of what to expect in their future paths.
In her message to the younger generation, Ms. Thuy encouraged students to stay proactive in seeking out opportunities and to embrace a mindset of lifelong learning. She emphasized that this approach is not only essential for adapting to an evolving job market but also for building a sustainable career.
The externship concluded with practical lessons and new perspectives, helping Korean Language students move one step closer to integrating into professional environments, particularly within Korean enterprises.
