From December 18 to 20, 2025, Van Lang University is hosting the 19th International Conference on Research, Innovation and Vision for the Future (RIVF 2025) in the field of Computing and Communication Technologies, under the technical sponsorship of IEEE - one of the world’s leading professional scientific and engineering organizations. IEEE RIVF 2025 attracts more than 1,100 scientists, experts, and authors from 27 countries, with over 350 scientific papers submitted and selected through international evaluation standards.
Established in 2003, RIVF has gone through 18 conferences held in major cities across Vietnam, becoming a prestigious international academic forum in the field of Computing and Communication Technologies. RIVF 2025 marks the first IEEE conference hosted by Van Lang University. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Information Technology - VLTech, chaired by VLU, in cooperation with IEEE, IEEE Vietnam, the Professorial Council of Information Technology, and with expected sponsorship from VinIF and Nafosted.

Representing the host, Prof. Dr. Vo Nguyen Quoc Bao - Vice President of Van Lang University and Co-chair of RIVF 2025 - stated that hosting the conference reflects the University’s strategic orientation toward advancing scientific research, increasing international publications and expanding academic collaboration, while also creating opportunities to connect domestic and international research groups.
The conference took place over three days (December 18 to 20, 2025) with a structure that includes the opening ceremony, plenary sessions, keynote, tutorial, parallel report sessions, poster, the industry session, and the closing ceremony.

Alongside scientific paper presentations, the conference also features poster sessions, in-depth tutorials, and the industry session, creating interdisciplinary academic exchange opportunities among scientists, researchers, enterprises, and students.

A highlight of the program is the keynote speeches delivered by internationally renowned scientists. The opening morning plenary session featured a report with the topic “AI for Scientific Discovery: A New Frontier,” presented by Prof. Tran The Truyen - Head of Artificial Intelligence, Health and Science at Deakin University (Australia) - focusing on the role of AI in advancing modern scientific discovery.
Alongside the parallel report sessions, on the first day the conference also hosts an in-depth tutorial titled “Photonics-enabled terahertz signal generation, processing and applications in 6G and beyond,” delivered by Pham Tien Dat, Senior Researcher at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Tokyo, Japan. The tutorial focused on the principles and applications of photonics-based terahertz technologies, opening new potential for 6G communication systems and next-generation networks.
During December 19 - 20, 2025, RIVF 2025 continues with a wide range of in-depth academic content, with the keynote “Security Challenges in AI-Driven 6G Networks” delivered by Biplab Sikdar (IEEE Fellow, National University of Singapore) being the highlight. This is accompanied by parallel sessions, thematic sessions, and industry sessions focusing on AI, communications - networks - IoT, cybersecurity, computer vision, language processing, software engineering, and interdisciplinary applied research directions, concluding the conference with the closing ceremony at noon on December 20, 2025.
In addition to international scientists, lecturers from VLU also directly participated in presenting scientific papers at the conference, contributing research outcomes in specialized fields aligned with the thematic areas of RIVF 2025.
With its scale, well-structured program, and in-depth academic content, IEEE RIVF 2025 affirmed its role as a high-quality scientific exchange platform in the field of Computing and Communication Technologies, while contributing to strengthening research connectivity between Vietnam and the global academic community.
