On November 18, 2025, Van Lang University welcomed a delegation of lecturers and students from Airlangga University (Indonesia) for a series of academic exchange and cultural engagement activities in Ho Chi Minh City. On the same day, the Faculty of Nursing organized the 2025 Nursing Science Conference with the participation of experts and scholars from Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and Hong Kong. The event demonstrated Van Lang University’s strategic orientation toward expanding international cooperation and strengthening nursing research and training aligned with global standards.

Representatives from Van Lang University and Airlangga University reaffirmed their partnership through student exchange programs, academic collaboration, and clinical practice internships. This visit provided additional opportunities for lecturers and students to gain exposure to educational models and healthcare practices from an international perspective.


Later the same day, the 2025 Nursing Science Conference was held as an academic forum where researchers presented the latest updates in Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). The conference featured contributions from partner universities, including Universitas Airlangga (Indonesia), Khon Kaen University (Thailand), and representatives from Hong Kong.

In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Kim Oanh – Member of the University Council, Head of the Department of Research Development, and Dean of the Faculty of Environment – emphasized the increasingly essential role of nursing within the context of population aging, shifting epidemiological patterns, and significant environmental impacts. She highlighted Van Lang University’s commitment to innovation and technology-enhanced education, marked by the inauguration of the Innovation & Impact Center and the AI Center for advanced research. Additionally, she noted the University’s rising reputation, evidenced by the ranking of 199th in Asia for Academic Reputation in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, reflecting regional academic confidence in the University’s training quality.

The conference featured eight high-quality scientific reports, showcasing diverse research capacities ranging from clinical process improvement and hospital quality management to mental health support interventions. International contributions demonstrated the forum’s potential for fostering cross-border research collaboration.



Alongside faculty research activities, student engagement was highlighted through the Scientific Research Poster Competition, designed to cultivate research thinking during academic training. Award-winning posters demonstrated students’ abilities to identify clinical problems, analyze evidence, and propose solutions to enhance patient care quality.

This series of activities marked a significant milestone in the strategic partnership between Van Lang University and Airlangga University, while also advancing the academic reputation of Van Lang University’s Faculty of Nursing within the regional educational network.
