Van Lang University’s Faculty of Dentistry expands international cooperation, promoting academic research with Kasetsart University (Thailand)

In April 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry – Van Lang University (VLU) and the Faculty of Engineering – Kasetsart University (Sriracha Campus, Thailand) had two bilateral work sessions, marking a remarkable step forward in international cooperation in scientific research and academic exchange.

On April 4, 2025, during the visit to Thailand, VLU’s delegation, including Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang Phi, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Tran Hung Lam, Vice-Dean in Charge of the Department of International Cooperation and Scientific Research, and Dr. Hoang Viet, Lecturer, signed the MOU with Kasetsart University, opening up student and lecturer exchange programs, professional seminars, and scientific research for the period 2025 - 2026.

Then, on April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry welcomed Kasetsart University’s delegation at Van Lang University, Main campus. At the meeting, both parties discussed and oriented the implementation of interdisciplinary research programs, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence (AI), finite element simulations, and collaboration between computer engineering and biomedical engineering fields in healthcare. Furthermore, both parties discussed student and lecturer exchange planning, offering opportunities for learning, practicing, and international exchange between the two parties.

Not only contribute to enhancing the research and training capacity of the two universities, but these collaborative activities also create experiential learning environments for the students and lecturers. This presents a clear demonstration of the educational philosophy of “learning through experience” that Van Lang University is persistent in. The students are offered opportunities to gain access to advanced technologies and work in a global academic environment, whereas lecturers can broaden their professional networks, develop new research orientations, and improve the quality of teaching.
