Van Lang University’s employees back to work after Lunar New Year

After the Tet holiday, on the morning of January 27, 2023, the VLU’s officers, lecturers, and staff returned to work, happily starting a successful and fortunate new year.

At noon of January 27, 2023, (January 6 in the Lunar calendar), VLU welcomed the Lion Dance delegation Nhon Nghia Duong to celebrate the year of Cat’s Opening Ceremony (Xuân Quý Mão) wishing a New Year going off without a hitch.

In order to contribute to the joyful atmosphere of the first days of the Lunar New Year, welcoming the new spring with more smiles and joys, VLU decorated Tet-themed garden miniatures at the hall of building A - main campus. This is a significantly attractive place visited by many officers, lecturers, and staff from Departments, Faculties, and Institutes, together to save the reunion moments on the occasion of the New Year. In the bustling atmosphere of early Spring, the VLU’s Board prepared the red envelopes for officers, lecturers, and staff as well as gave best wishes to everyone.

In the spring of the year of the Cat 2023, VLU welcomed the Lion dance delegation Nhon Nghia Duong to celebrate the first day of the lunar new year with a strong and majestic drum sound and the spirit animals of the Cat’s year: Qilin, Dragon, and Golden Cat, breathtaking and professional performances: “Tu quy hung Long” - Welcoming the Tết to receive fortune and wealth, drum dance festival - “Lan hai loc troi dat” and “Lan, Rong hoan tho”.

Nhon Nghia Duong is the most popular Lion dance delegation in the country, having achieved many great awards in international competitions such as the Bronze Medal of the Asian Indoor Games Award, the Silver Medal in 2010 in Malaysia, the Bronze Medal of the 5th International Lion Dance Award in Fujian - China, the Silver Medal of the 3rd Asian Championship in Bali - Indonesia, etc.
