As part of the training series on data analysis and Artificial Intelligence modeling using Altair AI Studio – RapidMiner (Professional Level), on April 20, 2025, the Institute for Computational Science & Artificial Intelligence (COSARI) – Van Lang University held its sixth practical session, showcasing the university’s strong commitment to making AI a core competency in the digital era.
Under the dedicated guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thoi Trung – Director of COSARI, faculty members, lecturers, and specialists were provided with fundamental knowledge on the implementation process of AI applications. In addition, Dr. Nguyễn Trang Thảo – an expert from the Institute's AI Lab, directly guided participants through hands-on practice using Altair AI Studio (RapidMiner).
The session focused on advanced data analysis techniques, model building, and AI model optimization for practical applications. Aiming to help Van Lang University’s teaching and technical staff gradually master AI technology, the experts provided hands-on training on the complete software usage process, while also inspiring a mindset geared toward creative and sustainable problem-solving and modeling.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thoi Trung shared: “In the development of AI applications, what matters is not just the tools we use, but how we create models that are truly accurate and effective. To achieve this, we need the support of experts with in-depth AI knowledge, who can transform data into knowledge and technology into practical solutions.”
The Altair AI Studio training program not only equips participants with knowledge and skills but also opens up opportunities for networking, collaboration, and scientific research development. This marks a significant step toward realizing the goal of establishing AI as a core capability, and it affirms Van Lang University’s pioneering role in applying modern technology to education and research.
