Van Lang University Postgraduate Institute organizes a seminar "Introduction To Research Flow"
Within the framework of the seminar series "Research Mentoring", on March 21, 2024, the Institute of Postgraduate Education of Van Lang University organized the seminar "Introduction To Research Flow" to support and improve knowledge and research skills for students enrolled in master's programs in various fields at Van Lang University.
At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Dang Khoa, Head of the Faculty of Environment Master's Program, stated that it is important to clearly define one's stance and ideology when conducting scientific research projects. This is also an important factor for students to "keep their spirit" while researching and defending their topic. Dr. Nguyen Dang Khoa emphasized through 07 principles in research activities that giving reasons for implementing a topic requires arguments and testaments, rather than "going with the flow".
Analyzing the research and evaluation process, Dr. Nguyen Dang Khoa stated that since the nature, requirements, and time of project implementation differ, graduate students must carefully choose the appropriate form of research: project or thesis. Furthermore, Dr. Nguyen Dang Khoa advised: “Critical opinions should be selectively accepted, thereby adjusting the topic to suit yourself and your initial research goals.”
Many issues regarding scientific research projects were vigorously discussed by attendees.Answering questions about difficulties in the implementation process, Dr. Nguyen Dang Khoa demonstrated how to select appropriate questions and sample files. Accordingly, discipline is the most important factor in ensuring research progress and project success. When students participate in research, they have the opportunity to receive scholarships and have their topics published in major journals.
From March 2024, the Postgraduate Institute of Van Lang University will organize a series of 05 seminars on the topic "Research Mentoring" to assist lecturers, students, and Van Lang University students in answering questions and overcoming difficulties during the process of studying and conducting in-depth research, thereby promoting scientific research activities throughout the university.
