On the morning of August 10, 2025, Van Lang University (VLU) held the Alumni Business Forum under the theme “Building a Valuable and Sustainable Alumni Community”. The event marked an important milestone with the official launch of the Alumni Business Club.

In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University and Member of the University Council, expressed her strong belief in the role of the alumni community: “International accreditations and prestigious rankings are only part of the evidence of our university’s efforts. This home would not be complete without the companionship of the Van Lang University alumni community. We look forward to connecting with you, those who have matured and are now leading businesses. Together, your real-world experiences will serve as invaluable lessons for current students, helping us to build a strong Van Lang University community and spread positive values to society.”

The forum featured a special discussion session to listen, share, and further explore opportunities for future cooperation and development. Joining the President in this session were distinguished alumni:
In the discussion session, the speakers shared heartfelt ideas and directions for building a strong community. One of the key focuses was supporting students and alumni in their entrepreneurial journeys. The VLU Alumni Business Club is expected to serve as a platform offering advisory and mentoring programs from experienced professionals. Members will seek opportunities for investment and financial support if projects prove feasible. More than just generating economic value, the club also aspires to spread love and gratitude toward the alma mater that has nurtured generations of alumni.
Ms. Truong Nhu Hoa emphasized that the guidance of predecessors would help younger generations minimize risks and gain more confidence on their entrepreneurial journeys. Mr. Nguyen Chuc Vu shared his vision of creating a “trusted hub” where alumni can gather, exchange experiences, and expand their business networks. Mr. Ly Quang Thang highlighted the importance of connecting mentors with mentees to nurture future leaders. He also mentioned initiatives such as the “Career Fair” and the “Trade Promotion Forum” aimed at generating practical value.

Mr. Lam Tuan Qui, Head of the Executive Board of the Alumni Business Club, shared the mission and future orientation: “The vision of the club is to become an alumni organization with our own identity, strong reputation, and positive contributions to society. To fulfill this goal, the club has developed a core activity program from August 2025 to March 2026 under the theme “Fostering Value and Sustainability”.”
