Van Lang University Honored in the Top 10 Outstanding Universities of The Digital Talent Development Program 2024

On December 11, 2024, the closing ceremony of the Digital Talent Development Program 2024, organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with Google, took place in Hanoi. The event not only celebrated the program’s remarkable achievements but also provided an opportunity to honor universities that have actively contributed to building a sustainable digital training ecosystem in Vietnam. 

The Digital Talent Development Program is a non-profit initiative by Google in Vietnam, supported by NIC, and has been implemented since July 2022. The program aims to provide learning opportunities and digital skill development for Vietnam’s workforce, thereby enhancing their digital competencies and opening up new career opportunities in the digital economy.

Van Lang University is proud to be recognized among the Top 10 Outstanding Universities of the Digital Talent Development Program 2024, reaffirming its pioneering position in innovative education and high-quality workforce development.

According to Ms. Tan Anh, Head of the Human Resources Development Department, the program in 2024 attracted participation from more than 80 universities, colleges, and organizations, contributing to the creation of a comprehensive digital training ecosystem in Vietnam. Nearly 7,000 learners completed at least one course in the program and were awarded globally recognized Google career certifications. This achievement has bolstered the high-quality workforce, enhancing the capacity of the labor market in digital technology fields.

Furthermore, the program has set a new trend in recruitment, with 80% of workers stating that employers are shifting from degree-based evaluations to a focus on practical skills. Notably, 90% of graduates achieved positive career outcomes within six months of completing their courses. These figures underscore the program’s significant impact and its pioneering role in developing a digitally skilled workforce ready to meet the demands of the modern labor market.
