On the morning of November 27, 2025, VLG Training and Development Center, in coordination with the Department of Human Resources and Administration, Van Lang University, organized the workshop “Stillness for Mindfulness”, creating a calm and relaxing space for the University’s staff members, lecturers, and employees.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Le Quang Thu Ngoc, Head of the Department of Human Resources and Administration, Van Lang University, emphasized the significance of the workshop as a journey of “returning to self-compassion.” She shared: “Behind the image of dynamism on the lectern, every lecturer carries their own moments of silence and pressure. We are here not for outward embellishment, but to truly listen to and gently embrace our inner selves.”

Opening with the theme “Awakening Awareness,” Dr. Nguyen Bao Thanh Nghi - Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Van Lang University - affirmed that health is not limited to physical well-being, but is built upon six pillars: environmental, social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental.

Continuing the program, Mr. Dang Khanh An, Lecturer in Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, analyzed in depth the aspect of “Nurturing the Mind.” He emphasized that stress is not a pathological condition but rather a “key” to recognizing and adjusting one’s coping mechanisms in response to pressure, while also sharing short-term stress reduction strategies and long-term lifestyle changes to effectively manage this condition.

In the final part of the workshop, themed “Practicing Energy Transformation,” faculty members experienced the “Yoga Nidra” technique through three stages: gentle warm-up, breath regulation, and deep relaxation. This practice effectively helped release psychological stress under the guidance of Dr. Tran Phuong Tung, Director of the Sports Center, Van Lang University.

The program took place in an open and supportive atmosphere, where faculty members felt comfortable sharing their concerns and pressures in both work and life. Before concluding, each participant selected a keyword to express their reflections and the emotional value they received from the workshop. This activity also marked the beginning of a journey toward more effective work and stronger connection within the Van Lang University community.
