In observance of World Restart a Heart Day on October 16, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing at Van Lang University organized a training session titled “Rapid Response in Cardiac Arrest to Sustain Life,” open to all lecturers, staff, and students of Van Lang University. She emphasized that the event served as a platform for lecturers and students to undergo professional training, hoping to foster a commitment to advancement and integration within the healthcare sector. With the Zoll AED equipment designed for non-medical personnel, Assoc. Through instructional videos detailing the procedures of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Mr. Wiwis Jirasirwatana helped students identify warning signs, manage urgent situations, and perform cardiac compression effectively. To ensure a safe environment for accessing victims, the expert thoroughly analyzed considerations related to timing, location, and techniques.

From experiencing first aid for cardiac arrest, participants engaged in hands-on simulation models and were tested on their knowledge through quizzes. Based on the results of chest compression exercises, the speaker evaluated each aspect and the overall effectiveness of the participants' performance. The event concluded successfully, inspiring the Faculty of Nursing to organize a variety of future training sessions and academic activities. These efforts aim to equip the Van Lang community with enhanced professional competencies and the ability to handle emergency situations related to community health.
