Van Lang University and Thanh Nien Newspaper Sign Cooperation Agreement to Advance Training, Opening New Opportunities for Communication Students

On the afternoon of September 26, 2024, Van Lang University and Thanh Nien Newspaper held a signing ceremony for an educational collaboration. This partnership aims to enhance the quality of education and expand professional practice opportunities for students majoring in Public Relations and Multimedia Communication.

The signing ceremony of the educational partnership between Van Lang University and Thanh Nien Newspaper expands professional practice opportunities for Public Relations and Multimedia Communication students.

Under the agreement, Thanh Nien Newspaper will deliver three specialized journalism courses for VLU students: News Verification, News Writing and Editing, and Interviewing Techniques. These courses will be taught by seasoned editors and journalists from Thanh Nien Newspaper, offering students the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, emphasized that this collaboration with Thanh Nien Newspaper will offer students invaluable opportunities to acquire practical skills and experience. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, emphasized: "This partnership not only fosters the growth of the communication field—a vital major in the digital era—but also provides students with invaluable opportunities to engage with the realities of the profession. This collaboration will allow students to gain practical insights, learn ethical principles, and achieve comprehensive personal and professional development. This initiative is a key step in our educational strategy to prepare students to meet the challenges and opportunities of the modern communication industry".

During the ceremony, Van Lang University awarded 10 full scholarships as part of Thanh Nien Newspaper’s “Accompanying Children Through Life” program. Each scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for the entire course of study, reflecting the shared dedication of both organizations to social responsibility.

Accompanying students in overcoming challenges on their education journey, Van Lang University, in collaboration with Thanh Nien Newspaper, awarded a full scholarship to Huynh Tan Tai.

Huynh Tan Tai, the first scholarship recipient, moved attendees with his story. Having lost his mother to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tai has worked hard to support himself and his younger brother, who is in 11th grade, while maintaining his education. His resilience and determination underscore the transformative power of education and serve as an inspiration for other young people.

Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan expressed gratitude to the program “Cung con di tiep cuoc doi” (Accompanying Children Through Life) and Van Lang University for awarding a full scholarship to Huynh Tan Tai. He stated: “This is not merely financial support but a significant source of encouragement, helping these students overcome hardships and pursue their dreams. We are confident that through this partnership, we will not only train talented communication professionals but also contribute to building a more compassionate and sustainable society.”
