Van Lang Unitour 2025: Students from Lam Dong Province Enthusiastically Engage in the Experience of “A Day as a VLU Student”

Following its kickoff in Gia Lai Province, the Van Lang Unitour 2025 continued its journey, arriving in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, on January 5, 2025.  With the enthusiastic support of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong Province and local high schools, the program provided over 2,000 high school students with engaging and meaningful university experiences.

The Van Lang Unitour 2025, held at Bui Thi Xuan High School (Da Lat City), attracted over 2,000 high school students from across the city to participate in campus tours, interactive activities, and engaging exchanges with Van Lang University faculty members and students.

In 2024, the Van Lang Unitour program was held for the first time in Lam Dong Province, leaving a positive impact on high school students' decisions regarding their academic paths. Van Lang University proudly welcomed 438 students from Lam Dong Province, including 144 from Da Lat City, to its 2024 intake. This achievement placed Lam Dong among the top three provinces nationwide with the highest number of students enrolling at Van Lang University. This milestone reflects the trust and confidence that VLU has cultivated among high school students and their parents. In 2025, Van Lang University will be delighted to return to Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, for the next chapter of the Van Lang Unitour journey.

Discovering the "University World" with Van Lang faculty members

To bring Van Lang University closer to students in various provinces, faculty members organized a wide range of specialized classes to help students explore and discover fields that align with their personal interests and passions. In each class, Van Lang University lecturers shared real-life stories about their respective industries, highlighting both opportunities and challenges in the profession. These insights empower students to make more confident and informed decisions regarding their future academic and career paths.

Students were also given the opportunity to meet and engage directly with lecturers at specialized consultation booths, where they could explore VLU's creative and dynamic learning environment. This experience provided them with inspiration and motivation for their future university journey.

Notably, students participated in 32 diverse experiential activities covering various disciplines offered at Van Lang University, including Architecture, Engineering & Technology, Fine Arts & Design, Health Sciences, Tourism, Arts, and Communication. These activities not only provided a clearer perspective on academic and career paths but also offered opportunities to take on exciting challenges, engage in interactive games, and gain valuable insights from current students.

In the Engineering and Technology section, students participated in activities such as constructing bridges from bamboo sticks, creating bookmarks from recycled materials, and assembling car models.

In the Law, Business, and Management section, students had the opportunity to win exciting prizes through engaging minigames such as the "Financial Race" board game, the "Wheel of Fortune," and the online game “Entering the World of Marketing.”

Students eagerly participated in activities such as reciting Chinese poetry, making keychains and bracelets, and playing traditional Korean games like spear throwing and Yutnori at the Social Sciences, Humanities, and Language section.

The Van Lang Unitour in Lam Dong gathered nearly 100 esteemed faculty members, including Department Heads, Deputy Heads, lecturers, and specialists from the faculties and institutes of Van Lang University, along with a large number of students. All came together with the common goal of providing students with an engaging and enriching program to explore and experience the world of higher education.

To recognize and encourage the academic spirit of students from Lam Dong Province, Van Lang University awarded ten merit-based scholarships to outstanding high school students from Da Lat City. These scholarships honored students for their exceptional academic achievements, active participation in extracurricular activities, and impressive accolades.

Van Lang University awarded 10 scholarship grants to students from Lam Dong Province to encourage their academic spirit.

Amidst the chilly weather of early January, over 2,000 students from Lam Dong immersed themselves in the lively and colorful atmosphere of the cultural program. The performances, presented by students from Bui Thi Xuan High School, Tran Phu High School, Tay Son Secondary and High School, along with Van Lang University students, brought moments of relaxation and emotion.

Beyond the impressive performances, students received attractive prizes through the Lucky Draw, including tablets, smartwatches, wireless Sony headphones, computer keyboard and mouse combos, and backpacks.

One of the standout highlights of Van Lang Unitour 2025 was the unique fashion show, featuring collections created from the graduation projects of students in the Fashion Design program, with students from Bui Thi Xuan High School taking on the role of models. The Almond Blossom collection, by designer Thien Nhi (Student of Class 28), was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's painting Almond Blossom, showcasing a gentle and elegant beauty. The Sun and Wind of the Central Highlands collection, by designer Tu Oanh (Alumna of Class 24), blended the warm colors of sunlight, the breeze, and the imagery of lush coffee trees and blooming white flowers, embodying the spirit of the collection and expressing the love and pride of the people from the Central Highlands. The fashion show received enthusiastic applause and continuous encouragement from the audience.

The Van Lang Unitour 2025 series organized by Van Lang University will continue its journey from January to April 2025 across seven provinces: Dak Lak, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Tien Giang, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
