In November 2024, Van Lang University students consistently excelled in national Chinese cultural competitions, shining brightly on their journey to become Vietnamese-Chinese cultural ambassadors.
Ngo Gia Ngoc and Le Thi Cam Tien, two K27 Chinese Language students from the Faculty of Foreign Language, captivated the audience at the 2024 Chinese Language Talent Contest Grand Final in Bien Hoa City with their soul-stirring rendition of "Dai Ngu". Their powerful vocals and seamless harmony, combined with the song's inspiring message of dreams and perseverance, earned them the Encouragement Award.

The 2024 Chinese Language Talent Contest, organized by Lac Hong University in collaboration with the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, attracted 100 entries from nearly 20 universities in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces. Guided by Dr. Ho Dac Quoc Anh, a lecturer in Chinese Language at the Foreign Language Faculty of Van Lang University, students had the opportunity to interact, learn, and showcase their talents through artistic and creative performances.

Pham Thi Kim Huong, a K28 student majoring in Chinese Studies (Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities), made a strong impression by successfully passing two preliminary rounds and advancing to the Grand Final of the 2024 National Chinese Speech Contest in Da Nang. Under the guidance of Dr. Pham Dinh Tien, Head of the Chinese Studies Department, Kim Huong confidently delivered a speech on the topic "The role of Vietnamese youth in promoting Vietnam-China friendship" and convinced the judges with her sharp arguments and solid reasoning. She also showcased her artistic talent in the talent competition. These achievements earned her the Encouragement Award.

"Through language learning, I aim to promote cultural exchange and contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous world. I hope to see the friendship between Vietnam and China grow even stronger in the years to come," Kim Huong shared. In addition to the above achievements, she has completed short-term courses organized by Chinese universities, received a scholarship from the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, and is a typical student participating in a summer camp at Zhongnan University.
