With talent, confidence, and high determination, Van Lang students and alumni have won numerous titles and ranked highly in beauty competitions.
On December 31, 2023, The final night of Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023 officially took place in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province. Despite the challenging process of the persuasion contest, Van Lang students and alumni were outstandingly honored in two categories at the awards ceremony: National Cultural Promotion Project and Beauty in Sport.
At Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023, the "Ty Hy" costume created by designer Nguyen Hung Bao surpassed a number of formidable opponents, was worn by beauty Kieu Thi Thuy Hang, and "caused a phenomenon" in the online community. Inspired by the painting "Mouse's Wedding" from the Dong Ho folk painting line, "Ty Hy" is more than just a beautiful outfit on the catwalk; it also spreads artistic values, carrying the mission of integrating Vietnamese culture with international friends.
Besides alumni Nguyen Hung Bao, many designs made by Van Lang students also entered the Top 16 projects promoting national costumes Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023:
Beauty of the Central Highlands is a contest for young women from five Central Highlands provinces: Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, and Lam Dong. This is a unique regional beauty contest held in the Central Highlands, intending to recognize the beauty, talent, and intelligence of Central Highlands women while also promoting the region's image, people, and tourism industry.
Pham Thi Tra My, a Course 28 Marketing student at Van Lang University, demonstrated exceptional skills by securing the impressive position of 1st runner-up in the Central Highlands Beauty contest. As an ambassador from Dak Lak province, Tra My confidently exhibited her unique perspective on the forest, emphasizing its significance in the environment through her impeccable presentation of the ao dai, evening dress, and overall conduct, effectively conveying the vital message of environmental preservation. As a student at Van Lang University, Tra My is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Commerce, consistently demonstrating her proactive involvement in supporting various events organized by both the faculty and the university.
