Van Lang students proudly showcase Vietnamese culture at the Riviera Festival 2025

From February 20 to 23, 2025, three distinguished Van Lang University students had the honor of representing their institution at the Riviera Festival 2025 in India. This event not only served as a platform for international cultural exchange but also provided an opportunity for students to refine their skills and promote the image of Vietnam on a global stage.

The three esteemed students representing Van Lang University at the festival hailed from the Faculty of Tourism:

  • Nguyen Dinh Do – Travel and Tourism Management
  • Tran Thi Minh Hiep – Travel and Tourism Management
  • Bui Nguyen Quynh Thy – Hotel Management

"Riviera" is an annual international cultural and sports festival hosted by Vellore Institute of Technology, India. Spanning four days, the event gathers over 30,000 students from 650 universities worldwide, creating a vibrant arena brimming with captivating cultural, artistic, and athletic activities.

The journey to "Riviera" 2025 offered Van Lang University students invaluable experiences. Setting foot in India for the first time and participating in a large-scale international exchange event, they confidently showcased their talents and immersed themselves in the festival’s vibrant atmosphere. A standout highlight was the musical performance “Infusion 7.0,” where Van Lang University students showcased impeccable harmony and synergy. Their stellar rendition captivated the audience, earning enthusiastic acclaim from international peers.

Moreover, they proudly introduced the enchanting essence of their homeland at the Vietnamese cultural exhibition booth, featuring traditional attire, signature cuisine, and captivating cultural heritage. Nguyen Dinh Do, a Travel and Tourism Management student, shared: “The moment I donned the Vietnamese “ao dai” on an international stage was an overwhelming rush of pride and emotion like never before.”

On this occasion, Van Lang University students had the chance to delve into the rich tapestry of local culture through electrifying musical performances, indulgence in traditional delicacies infused with the bold flavors of Masala, and meaningful connections with peers from across the globe.

Friendship, shared experiences, and moments of wholehearted passion at the festival have etched lasting memories in the hearts of Van Lang University students. This journey was not only a cross-border adventure but also a remarkable opportunity to broaden their horizons, refine essential soft skills, and proudly showcase Vietnam’s cultural identity on the global stage.
