Van Lang Students Join Vietnam Student Football Team for 2023 Asian Tournament

Seven students from Van Lang University made their mark in the Quarter-finals of the 2023 Vietnam Student Youth Football Tournament, joining the Vietnam Student Team for the Taebaek Asian University Football Tournament in September.

From 07/05 - 09/04/2023, the Vietnam Student Team will undergo training to compete against student teams from South Korea, Japan, Oman, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines, etc. in the Taebaek Asian University Football Tournament 2023 held in Taebaek City, South Korea, from 05 to 09/15/2023.

Van Lang University is proud to have 7 talented young players who have earned a place in the Vietnam National Student Football Team this year:

• Bui Anh Vu, Course 26 from the Commerce Faculty.
• Tran Gia Trung Kien, Course 28 from the Finance and Banking Faculty.
• Nguyen Lam Son, Course 27 from the Commerce Faculty.
• Nguyen Thanh Luan, Course 27 from the Business Administration Faculty.
• Do Huu Trung Chien, Course 27 from the Business Administration Faculty.
• Ngo Nhat Truong, Course 28 from the Business Administration Faculty.
• Phan Quoc Thang, Course 26 from the Information Technology Faculty.
• Along with Tran Tan Dat and Vi Hieu Thuan, two outstanding players from Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology, part of the Van Lang Education Group.

Mr. Nguyen Vo Hoang Phu, VLU football coach, said: “Having our players from Van Lang University in the Vietnam Student Team for the Asian tournament is a great honor. This competition is also a step in our team's preparation for the 2nd Vietnam Student Football Championship 2024.”

Earlier, in March 2023, the Van Lang University men's football team impressively reached the quarter-finals of the Vietnam Student Football Championship - Café de Mang Den Cup 2023, leaving a strong impression on their fans. We wish them success in their upcoming Asian football tournament, bringing glory to Van Lang and Vietnam.
