Having contributed more than 40 strategic research reports on science metrics and research governance policies, Dr. Le Van Ut – Assistant to the Chairman of Van Lang University Council for Scientific Research, Head of the Office of Research Integrity, and Head of the SARAP Research Group (Scientometrics and Research Administration Policies) – shared in-depth and practical knowledge about the causes, consequences, and preventive measures related to the retraction of scientific articles with the university’s staff and lecturers. Dr. Le Van Ut stated: “One of the most prominent and concerning issues today is the lack of transparency in disclosing research funding sources. Incomplete declarations or failure to legalize funding can lead to serious consequences, damaging the reputation of individuals and organizations, and putting articles at risk of being retracted from the academic system.”

Through practical warnings about common violations, along with the introduction of useful tools and guidelines, the workshop equipped lecturers and researchers with essential knowledge to proactively prevent risks in scientific publishing. The program not only contributed to raising awareness of academic integrity but also promoted the development of a transparent, ethical, and sustainable research environment at Van Lang University.
