From June 13 to 15, 2025, the Faculty of Law, Van Lang University, organized the undergraduate thesis defense for Class 27 students majoring in Law. The theses covered three primary areas of research: corporate and tax law, labor law, and real estate and banking law.
Overall, the Examination Committee emphasized the diversity and contemporary relevance of the research topics, which accurately reflect pressing legal issues and societal needs in the context of integration and technological advancement. Rather than following traditional research approaches, Class 27 students demonstrated strong practical application skills by exploring current legal aspects such as corporate regulations, labor relations, real estate transactions, e-commerce, and consumer rights. In addition, issues of civil and family law (such as the protection of minors’ rights and surrogate pregnancy), environmental law, and animal protection (including green investment projects and the protection of cats and dogs) were thoroughly examined, underscoring the multidimensional nature of their legal reasoning.

Among the outstanding theses, the work titled “Statutory Inheritance and the Practical Resolution of Inheritance Disputes by the People’s Court of Ho Chi Minh” by student Pham Ngoc Minh received high recognition from the Committee. The thesis was praised for its high practical value, extensive research efforts, and applicability in addressing complex legal issues.

Commenting on the quality of the theses, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Thuy, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Van Lang University, commended the significant progress, applicability, and problem-solving skills demonstrated in the students’ research. “Many theses were highly appreciated by the Committee for their rigor, substantial effort, and practical application, showing strong potential for future development”, noted Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Thuy.

The undergraduate thesis defense represents an important milestone, reflecting the maturity of students in academic mindset and their ability to translate legal knowledge into practice. The highly recognized works serve as a testament to the professional potential of students from Van Lang University’s Faculty of Law as they embark on their future careers.
