Turning passion into opportunity: VLU Graphic design student designs Vietnam Basketball uniform at Sea Games 33

Two years ago at SEA Games 31, Nguyen Tan Dat (K28, Graphic Design) was a basketball fan making posters to cheer on the national team. That passion opened doors: as a final-year student, he joined Hemero as a Graphic Designer and began working on real projects.

At SEA Games 33, Dat designed the 3x3 game uniform, warm-up top, and casual shirt for Vietnam’s team - working remotely with the Vietnam Basketball Federation to deliver a refreshed set in just one week.

From a classroom brief to a real SEA Games project, this is a true snapshot of how VLU Graphic Design students learn, create, and step into the industry.
