In commemoration of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025) and the 78th of the Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025), the Central Executive Committee of the HCYU – Vietnam National Union of Students of the Faculty of Mechanical – Electrical & Computer Engineering organized a special training session for the Union cadre under the theme: “Pioneering Youth and the Glorious Historical Legacy.”

"Youth Leadership – Breakthrough Thinking, Pioneering Actions"

Kicking off the event, Dr. Le Hung Tien – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical – Electrical & Computer Engineering – emphasized the urgent need for developing breakthrough thinking among young people. He stressed that every youth leader must continuously renew their mindset, dare to think big, and be ready to take different, bold actions to become inspirational figures who can lead teams and create value for the community. According to him, mindset is the foundational factor that helps young people overcome barriers, affirm their roles, and contribute to building a sustainable future.

"Master Your Time, Create Your Success"

MSc. Pham Thanh Phuoc – Secretary of the HCYU at Van Lang University – provided guidance on effective time management through his talk, “Master Your Time, Create Your Success.” He highlighted three key principles: setting priorities, making clear plans, and rational division of tasks. One prominent tool introduced was the Eisenhower Matrix. He also encouraged the use of digital tools like Google Calendar, Todolist, and the Pomodoro Technique to boost productivity and maintain focus - helping students balance their studies, work, and personal life.

In addition, he underscored the importance of team spirit in the journey of youth leadership development. Using four keywords: "team," "self," "listening," and "responsibility," he urged students to share, collaborate, and stay committed to one another. When a group listens and individuals take responsibility, leaders gain the strength to move further - together and for one another.
